EMBROIDERY TUTORIAL - Peony

EMBROIDERY TUTORIAL - Peony

It's a free style embroidery, with some contemporary and imaginative way..If you decide to embroider in this style you will express yourself. It's like an oil painting, once you start painting, first you dont know what will come out. But step by step your canvas starts to reflect the shades, your image receives more volume and the picture becomes more define. .The main rule make layers. Laying one thread layer on each other..So what are the threads? I've used 4 shades both DMC and Anchor brands, some numbers are in the video, but some are not known as it's been lost after my kid's invasion😀 Strands: I've used 6 strands except the stem one (4 strands).
.I would call this freestyle embroidery style a little crude, as it is not smooth and not thin. Embroidery, but very creative..This is a style where you can fully express yourself. If you once painted with oil paints, then I think you will understand what I mean. .The first strokes are incomprehensible and do not create pictures, but with each time the brush works, colors appear, their transition, severity and details. So it is here..I decided not to write a description in the video, this is a work for your imagination, just catch the style and create your own, try it, do not be afraid to combine colors. One rule - apply layers to each other, but do not cover the entire shade, then the volume will be more beautiful. In this embroidery I used 4 shades of VHI and Ankor, I don’t know some numbers, since they evaporated after the invasion of children's curiosity😁. I embroidered in 6 threads, except for the stem, there are 4 threads. Here ordinary😊, free, embroidery for a bit of inspiration 😃, and the stem is wrapping back stitch.

Types of crochet needles and which one to use

There are numerous types of needles with which you can make crochet crafts.

The crochet is a technique in which a needle with a hook on the tip is used. You work one point at a time unlike other techniques such as, for example, the Tricot or knitting with two needles in which a certain amount of stitches are placed and are passed from one needle to another as you knit.

But, for all this you will need to know the basic points and also know what are the types of needle with which you can work.

1. Very Fine Cotton Thread

In those tasks that you are going to use a very fine cotton thread it is advisable, in that case, to resort to a needle of the following thicknesses: 0.60 mm, 0.75 mm and even 1 mm. Thanks to this type of needles you will be able to work with great ease, facilitating the manageability of the thread used and the knitted stitches.

2. Thick Thread

Are you going to use a thread larger than the previous one but not excessively? For this, you can use 1.25 mm, 1.50 mm needles. and 1.75 mm. This type of needles is indicated for thin threads. The most common is that this type of needles are made of steel.

3. Medium Thickness Thread

The work you are going to start requires a medium thickness thread? To handle it, you will have to use the following types of needle: 2 mm., 2.5 mm., 3 mm. and 3.5 mm. Normally these needles are created in materials as light as bamboo or plastic.

4. Medium Thickness Thread With Double Fabric

As we need to work with a thicker thread or a larger fabric, we will also need to use larger needles. Thus, for example, the 4 mm, 4.5 mm or 5.5 mm needles are designed for those tasks in which you use medium thickness threads with double fabrics.

5.Mohair or Double Crepe

In the case of using mohair or double crepe type thread it is necessary, then, to use needles between 5.5 mm. and 6 mm. The use of these needles, designed for thick threads, will facilitate the work of the work.

6. Two-Strand Wool

7 mm needles and 8 mm. They are some of the thickest you can find in the market. These are reserved for those materials of greater thickness such as, for example, the wool of two strands.

7. Twisted Wool

This type of wool is complicated to handle without working with fine needles, therefore, it is convenient to work with a suitable tailored to this material. Therefore, when using twisted wool you must resort to a needle that lends you a firmness like 9 mm needles. and 1 cm.
